A bit of background about the hugs & the wonderful host Ati. 

Ati aka Surrey Hills Wellness started The Collective hugs during the pandemic to bring her community together online. Ati’s mum is her biggest inspiration, and she has been a wonderful teacher, inspiring Ati’s journey of self-care using the principles of ancient Indian and East African medicine and wisdom handed down from several generations. 

Ati is an integrative psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist, Master EFT practitioner and Eco therapist. She is an experienced mindfulness coach and has pivoted over the years to include facial reflexology and face yoga for rejuvenation and releasing trauma through the loving act of self-care.

Here’s what we do in the hugs..

The session lasts for 45 minutes and starts with a super relaxing guided massage of our face, neck and hands which hold so much stress. Ati will be using a selection of her favourite products like oil/cream for the face and hands or hands. Then for about 25 minutes Ati will guide everyone through a super soothing visualisation. This is when you can get really cosy and let the worries of the day drift off.

Date & Time: Thursday 3rd July, 8pm - 8.45pm. 

Things you’ll need:

  • Something comfortable to sit on then perhaps to lie on - feel free to be in bed.

  • A soothing face oil, hand cream or balm as we may greet our faces and hands an invitation to be yourself - as you are.

  • You do not have to keep your video on and this is not group therapy so you don’t have to speak – we suggest keeping cosy in your nest! Ati will be available after the session if you would like to have a chat.

  • Ati likes to curate playlists for the sessions so you can click the Spotify list here. Please note if you don’t have Spotify membership the songs may get jumbled so please choose something soothing to play for 40 minutes. Need more info about this? Please feel free to email Ati.

  • The Hugs take place via zoom. We will be emailing you the link and putting a calendar invite into your diary. Please be sure to check your spam.

What is the collective hug? 💆‍♀️

The Collective Hug was founded by Ati, also known as Surrey Hills Wellness, during the pandemic to bring people together in a warm and supportive space. Inspired by her mother’s teachings and the ancient wisdom of Indian and East African traditions, Ati has cultivated a deeply nurturing practice that blends psychotherapy, mindfulness, and holistic wellness.

With expertise as an integrative psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist, Master EFT practitioner, and Eco therapist, Ati also incorporates facial reflexology and face yoga to help participants release stress and embrace self-care.

What to Expect in the Session? 💆‍♂️

✨ A 45-minute restorative experience:

Relaxing self-massage: A guided facial, neck, and hand massage using soothing oils or creams.

Soothing visualization: A calming, 25-minute guided journey to help you unwind and release the stresses of the day.

💆‍♀️ Things You’ll Need:

✔ A cozy space to sit or lie down – even your bed works!

✔ Face oil, hand cream, or balm for the self-massage.

✔ Optional: A personal playlist – Ati curates a Spotify playlist for each session (please note, if you don’t have a Spotify subscription, the songs may shuffle).

🔹 No pressure, just relaxation! You don’t need to turn on your video, and this is not a group therapy session. Just come as you are and get comfortable in your own space. Ati will be available for a chat afterwards if you'd like.
